Software Engineer (Java or .NET)

We are looking for a Software Engineer (Java or .NET)! You will be based at The Island, our office in central Paris.

Spirit Management Product is the global platform for ageing products that manages 70% of the maturing stock of Pernod Ricard. Today’s footprint of Brand Companies covers Martell & Co, Chivas Brothers Limited, Irish Distillers Limited and Yerevan Brandy Company, for more than 600 users.

Spirit Management Product manage the distillation, production, maturation and blending of our spirits products to support our Brand Strategy.

Your key missions

You will develop and maintain Spirit Management Product to ensure it meets the business needs and is delivered within agreed timescales and budgets.

You will create technical specifications, development, training and support of all systems and their interfaces and ensure required functionality and integrity are met.

You will ensure the delivered solutions are developed and tested to rigorous standards.

You will work with new software applications and upgrade same as and when required.

You will build required technical components for Spirit Management Product, working in strong collaboration with the squad to select best-suited options for the feature/product, based on business needs and global standards (architecture, QA...):

  • You will drive technical study & feature/product design, develop relevant elements (incl. prototyping, programming...)

  • You will manage technical components testing (including test scenarii & acceptance criteria definition...)

  • You will oversee the roll-out of technical elements, to ensure effective integration within Pernod Ricard tech landscape

  • You will document all relevant technical information related features/products, to smooth knowledge transfer to relevant teams (delivery, proximity...), share technical insights as needed

You will drive the maintenance & continuous improvement of features/products, based on evolving tech/business needs/trends:

  • You will manage critical incidents with developed elements, from issue identification to problem resolution

  • You will oversee processes such as upgrading/patching... as needed (infrastructure changes...)

  • You will monitor key metrics to identify needs for improvement, and engage the design/redesign of features with the squad

  • You will provide insights on solutions/services associated with designed elements as needed (in coordination with Configuration Specialists, Service delivery team...), and contribute to initiatives aiming to maximize product adoption

You will provide engineering best practices & bring forward new ways of thinking to improve outcomes (peer reviews, coaching...)

You will participate in transversal engineering initiatives (market intelligence, cross-product/family initiatives...) as needed, and continuously develop their own skills based on industry trends/enterprise needs

  • You have a master degree - engineering school / university; computer science or related fields preferred)

  • You have minimum 4+ years of experience in a related area, and you are an expert in programming languages Java or .NET, Javascript, html, css, jQuery

  • You have strong technical background, with deep expertise in platform software engineering (Azure DevOps or GitHub)

  • You have good understanding of tech standards & components (from architecture to ITIL)

  • You have excellent knowledge of relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server

  • Integration knowledge API’s, Webservices is a plus

  • You have strong communication skills, with the ability to talk with both technical & non-technical stakeholders

  • You have demonstrated expertise in large scale project environments

  • You have experience in various functional areas (e.g.: operations, manufacturing, industrial systems, aging, blending, warehouse management, quality, traceability, etc.)

  • Collaboration & teamwork, with the ability to work in an agile development environment

  • You speak French and English fluently
