Purpose
The Senior Project Manager is the key to ensuring the success of our Projects. IFS Consulting delivers services on all IFS products which span from large implementations of full ERP solutions to global customers, smaller upgrades, or continuous improvement projects. The Project Manager serves as a pivot point in ensuring that our Customers release their full potential by utilizing IFS Software and at the same time ensuring that IFS Consulting is a profitable business.

SUMMARY
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading, managing, and steering IFS projects. The Senior Project Manager is acting on behalf of IFS as a focal point of expertise to ensure the Value Realization to the Customer and Revenue Generation to IFS. Key to this is a firm understanding of Project Management in general and the IFS Methodologies in particular, highlighting the ability to gain trust from both the Customer and the IFS teams. The Senior Project Manager enjoys the challenge of overseeing multiple projects and leading other Project Managers to success. The Project Manager acts as the key driver, decision maker, engager, and motivator in large projects, while consistently having control of both short and long term revenue realization along with set KPIs. The Project Manager truly lives the Core Values of IFS and positively influences the Projects as well as supporting as a strategic contributor to the global IFS Consulting organisation.
Essential duties and accountabilities
· Manage Programmes involving multiple IFS Projects
· Provide oversight and guidance to IFS Partners as part of a governance team and support Customer communications and Project interventions as necessary
· Management of programmes or Projects that have notable business transformation requirements
· Drive Customer Value Realization
· Work with the IFS Consulting organization to deliver identified business benefits, identifying additional value realization opportunities where possible
· Ensure the importance of the project is maintained and communicated both internally and externally.
· Continuously communicate the value of IFS to the Customer’s Executive Team
· Act as the link between the Project and the Customer’s strategic level decision-making groups.
· Provide input to IFS Methodologies to support continuous improvement
· Provide coaching/mentoring of less experienced IFS Project Managers
· Consistently act and behave according to IFS values, championing positive behaviours with all others
overall required competence (detail in appendix – job profile)
A Senior Project Manager would be expected to have a very strong understanding of the following areas:
· Industry Knowledge within IFS core industries
· Advanced Presentation Skills
· Advanced Project Management Skills
· Appreciation of process adherence and quality assurance
· Internal business processes, workflows, and operational considerations
Qualifications
required education & experience
Essential:
· Successful delivery of multiple large projects, including projects involving partners and subcontractors. ( 6,000 – 10,000h of Project Management experience)
· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Industry Specific area (or equivalent training)
· Significant experience in Project Management in the software industry, including regional or global transformation programmes
· Solid knowledge of at least one of the core industries to which IFS delivers its products
· Experience in directly managing a team
· Fluency in English and local language (verbal and written)
Desirable:
· Experience in managing IFS software implementation projects
· Solid Knowledge of IFS implementation methodology and principles
· Solid Knowledge of IFS products
· Extensive network within the IFS organization
· Previous experience in managing other Project Managers
