The level 3 Network Engineer role is to support the entire EU network for XPO Transport
What youll do on a typical day:
To provide support and configuration for:
Network Infrastructure including Datacentre, LAN, WAN and Wireless technologies.
Routing techniques, routing redistribution, route maps etc.
WAN Technologies MPLS, ISP, SD-WAN
3rd line network support for all countries and business units across Europe
Monitoring and support of Data Centre connectivity
Monitoring and support of site connectivity in Europe
All External secure VPN connectivity
All external access for secure DMZ connectivity
WAN upgrades across Europe
WLAN upgrades across Europe
Assisting in all aspects of support, which cannot be dealt with at L1 or L2.
Provide enhancements to existing procedures and technology
Covering 24/7 support out of hours
Implementing all Data Centre related tasks for RUN Projects.
F5 Load Balancer management across EU
Involved in updates for operational procedures and associated support documentation.
To always follow and encourage ITIL best practice.
What you need to succeed at XPO:
Minimum 10 years' experience of network support
Fluency in English (written and spoken)
CCNA
CCNA Security
CCNP routing and Switching
Fortinet Network Associate NSE 1 and 2
HNC level 4 IT Practitioner
Knowledge in general Enterprise IT practices
In-depth knowledge and detailed understanding of network technologies and related products including SDWAN, Network Security, LAN, WAN, WLAN.
In-depth Knowledge of Networking architecture, LAN/WAN topologies, and network security
Managing IP space and all MPLS/BGP.
Being able to produce HLD and LLD to high level.
High Level of knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, Palo Alto, Checkpoint, Solarwinds, Fortinet
ITIL qualified.
Team-oriented. Consults with Team members and management as needed to complete assigned responsibilities and acts as a role model to their team.
Establishes and maintains effective, collaborative work relationships both internally and externally.
Presents organized and thorough information and data appropriate for the intended audience.
