Paris based European Sourcing & Operations Team (ESO) is a new team. Its main purpose is to define, propose and implement an industrial strategy which will support the growth of Tiffany’s High Jewelry (HJ) and Fine Jewelry (FJ) Business. Working in permanent collaboration with the US based teams, it will strengthen, optimize, and develop the European manufacturing capacity (subcontracting and partnerships).
The Industrial Project Manager will lead and facilitate product and operational process improvements. Cross-functional activities include project communication and management, analysis, documentation, and final project evaluation. The Industrial Project Manager will roll out existing metrics as well as establish new metrics. The Industrial Project Manager will work cross-functionally with various teams to ensure deliverables are met, providing reporting to outline risks, opportunities, and end of project review.
Key Accountabilities
Project Management:
Develop and maintain process documentation and manage implementation in support of the product development team.
Establish and communicate specifications of project to suppliers.
Manage contracts with vendors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
Process Improvement and Analysis:
Develop reporting and metrics; assist with reporting tools to support planning and executing against the major project milestones.
Preparation and documentation of materials for meeting support process improvement and system integration projects with cross-functional leadership.
Analyze project progress and when necessary, adapt scope, timelines, and costs to ensure that project team adheres to project requirements.
Cross-Functional/Project Communication:
Establish and communicate specifications of project to suppliers.
Establish cross-functional status reports to facilitate timely project communication.
Collaboration with US teams to understand Tiffany's processes and organization.
Develop tools to facilitate communication and collaboration with US teams.
Collaboration within Operations Division with Supplier Account Manager to facilitate flows with suppliers according to the Tiffany's processes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
3 years of relevant project management experience.
Fluent in English and have strong communication and pedagogy skills.
Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing priorities.
Willing to work flexible hours to support deliverables and multiple priorities.
Demonstrated coaching skills to support staff performance, development and training.
Experience with a multifunctional team in a multicultural environment.
Motivated by the challenge of developing and manufacturing jewelry pieces while developing strong relationship with our partners.
Advanced Microsoft Office computer skills - specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational, verbal communication, writing and negotiation skills.
Problem-solving and analytical skills, strong work ethic.
Project Management experience in a leadership capacity.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in jewelry industry, luxury jewelry is a plus, and manufacturing processes.
