Present in 14 countries now, Veepee is taking a leading role in the European digital commerce landscape.As a Senior Data Scientist at Adot, you will be joining a multidisciplinary team of Data Scientists, Data Engineers, Data Analysts, and BI Analysts totaling 8 people occupying a central place in the company.Your mission will be to develop, deploy, and maintain our suite of algorithms and pipelines used for a wide range of online advertising purposes, such as multi-label classification, user knowledge, and automatic real-time bidding, all in a very challenging Big Data environment in terms of volume (10TB/day) and latency

TASKS

Assume responsibility for Adot's Data Science projects in all aspects from problem definition to implementation and maintenance;

Train, version and deploy ML/DL models in a cloud or in-house environment;

Write production-ready code and ensure the quality of code put into production through code reviews;

Develop and maintain algorithms currently in production, as well as data pipelines to make data available to other teams;

Maintain a technology watch to stay at the forefront of trends;

Contribute to the life of the team and the company: become a privileged contact for operational teams to respond to business issues;

Provide mentoring to more junior team members.

Our current stack:

Data pipelines: Spark, Scala, Python, Airflow, Trino, Dbt, Kafka;

Dataviz: Tableau;

Cloud: AWS;

Machine learning: Python, PyTorch, SparkML . (But also: Docker, NodeJS, GraphQL, ScyllaDB, MongoDB, Postgres, Gitlab, Nomad, Terraform,...).

MUST HAVE skills

5 years experience in Data Science;

Good knowledge of Python and SQL;

You are familiar with statistics and machine learning;

You've already worked on an NLP topic, ideally with PyTorch;

You know and apply good development practices: Git, CI/CD, unit testing, documentation, etc,

You're able to work independently and take charge of complex projects;

You're a team player who likes to share your knowledge and help colleagues when needed;

You speak and write fluently in French and English.

NICE TO HAVE skills

Cloud experience is a plus;

Knowledge of Scala and Spark experience (PySpark or Spark Scala);

Real-time bidding experience.
