Working Student (m/f/d) – Radio Frequency Engineer (Component Design of Antennas, Arrays & Filters)

Simulation has become an integral part of electronics design today, as an answer to the ever-increasing complexity of circuits. 

Within your role you will be part of the EMAG Workflow team in the Simulia worldwide organization. This team works closely with the EMAG R&D and Tech Sales teams on a global scale. The team is involved in defining, testing and documenting the sales relevant and technical workflows.

Responsibilities

You will contribute in testing and documenting the workflows in the area of RF component & antenna design. Current major industry trends include antenna arrays for base stations and satellite systems, automation in design procedures and non-parametric optimization for 3D printing or generative design.

 Your tasks will involve (depending on interests and expertise):

  • Testing new solver technologies for applications in antenna arrays, filters, equivalent lumped components, etc.
  • Testing new workflows for multiplexers, filters, antenna arrays, etc.
  • Demonstration of new filter synthesis techniques
  • Antenna array optimization & post-processing
  • Update existing material in the area of RF design & analysis
  • Support demonstration of advanced array workflows
  • Python scripting for design automation and exploration

Qualifications

  • You study Engineering  / Computer-Science / Physics / Mathematics or something similar
  • You have basic knowledge of electromagnetic fields and RF components/antennas
  • You have basic 3D-CAD knowledge
  • You are interested in Numerical Simulation and Optimization
  • You are well-structured and organized
