Transportation & Custom Analyst
Within our Operations - Customs Compliance department, you are responsible for complying with export and import requirements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. You will need to work closely with our two establishments in France, as well as the one in the United Kingdom.
Specifically, your role consists of:
• Periodically verifying our customs compliance to minimize the risk of penalties from government institutions;
• Responding to internal and external customer requests regarding customs compliance as well as transport partners and providing daily support to the transport and customs operations department;
• Verification of customs entries;
• Ensuring adjustment and accuracy of customs declarations;
• Classifying and maintaining a tariff classification database to validate current classifications and add those of new parts;
• Participating in and initiating improvement of current processes;
• Participating in special company development projects;
• As needed, you have to perform any other related tasks that may fall under this job.
Technical Skills:
• Excellent knowledge of international trade regulations;
• Excellent knowledge of European customs procedures;
• Customs Declarant and Counsel (DDC), BAC+3, an asset;
• Good knowledge of computer tools, mainly the Office suite
• Advanced English
