As a Systems Engineer specializing in Azure Landing Zone, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and managing Azure environments that adhere to best practices and enable efficient application migration, modernization, and innovation at scale. Your expertise will contribute to the enhancement, stability, and scalability of our client’s technology infrastructure.
Responsibilities
Azure Landing Zone Design and Deployment:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
Implement an opinionated Azure landing zone architecture using Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
Configure and manage the Azure environment, including provisioning, connectivity, security, and governance.
Ensure adherence to Azure best practices and compliance standards.
Resource Organization and Management:
Organize subscriptions into platform landing zones (for shared services) and application landing zones (for workloads)..
Deploy and maintain resources within each landing zone, considering scalability and isolation.
Security and Compliance:
Implement security controls, access management, and data protection measures.
Collaborate with security operations (SecOps) to ensure a secure Azure environment.
Monitor and address compliance requirements.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
Develop and maintain IaC scripts using tools like Terraform, Azure CLI, or PowerShell.
Automate platform deployments and updates.
Performance Optimization and Troubleshooting:
Monitor Azure resources for performance, capacity, and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization.
Proficiency in IaaS and PaaS solutions.
Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) development using tools like Terraform.
Scripting skills in PowerShell, Python, or other relevant languages.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and CI/CD practices in Azure.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Certifications related to Azure (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are a plus.
