Systems cockpit / Human Factors engineer (m/f)
Job Description:
We are looking to recruit a Human Factors airworthiness engineer on cockpit systems and operations, to join the Certification Technical Directorate (CTD) in Toulouse. This team provides certification expertise across all Airbus commercial aircraft programmes.

Perceived as purely regulatory by some, certification in fact provides a complete overview of the aircraft development process, from the initial project application to the continued airworthiness of the in-service fleet. To know the regulations and demonstrations of compliance is to know the product itself. Interfacing with the authorities and the many actors contributing to the certification process, provides the airworthiness engineer with a rich experience and the opportunity to enhance aviation safety. He / she must reconcile two significant challenges: enhancing aviation safety, whilst ensuring the timely certification of our products.
Are you keen to develop both your technical skills and interpersonal skills by interacting with airworthiness authorities? Are you willing to take a new role combining autonomy and teamwork (yes it is possible !). Join us to be part of this great adventure !
Your responsibilities will include:

-
defining and communicating Airbus policies wrt human factors certification;
-

-
managing the relationship with the airworthiness authorities;
-
supporting type certificate validation exercises with foreign authorities (such as the FAA);
-
supporting or representing Airbus directly in rulemaking and standardisation activities.
You have the following skills and interests:
-
A strong interest and at least 5 years of experience in cockpit/systems design or human factors assessment,
-
A strong interest in aircraft certification,
-
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to integrate a team which values respect, integrity, and teamwork,
-
A willingness to engage in new technical activities,
-
The ability to work transnationally and across organizational boundaries,
-
The confidence to represent Airbus in front of our main Airworthiness Authorities (EASA),
-
Strong communication and negotiation skills, including a high level of proficiency in English.
Your working environment:
-
Global capital of aeronautics and European capital for space research, Toulouse is a dynamic city in the southwest of France served by an international airport. Ideally located between the Mediterranean sea and the Atlantic ocean and close to the Pyrenees mountains, it offers plenty of options for outdoor activities!
How we care for you:
