Site Reliability Engineer

YOUR ROLE WILL BE

  • Build and maintain reliable infrastructure platform with the SRE team.
  • Participate in design and architecture decisions for our systems and infrastructure.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions to streamline operations, monitor system health and efficiently respond to incidents.
  • Work on performance topics to identify bottlenecks and optimize infrastructure and application performance.
  • Collaborate with our development teams to integrate reliability considerations into the development process, contributing to system design and architecture. 
  • Setting up and managing monitoring and alerting systems to track the health and performance of critical infrastructure components.
  • YOUR MISSION WILL BE

  • Run our infrastructure with Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD, Kubernetes and Datadog.
  • Plan with your team the future of Hivebrite's infrastructure (enhance our deployments, be the guardians of our guidelines, ...).
  • Be on an on-call (PagerDuty) rotation to respond to incidents that impact Hivebrite customer's availability, and provide support for your engineers mates.
  • Work effectively with other teams, such as development and operations teams, and be able to collaborate to solve complex problems.
  • Participate in a blameless meeting (post-mortem, sprints reviews) to look for answers that will prevent the incident from ever happening again.
  • YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF

  • Technical infrastructure skills (Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, Cloudflare).
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools - ideally Terraform or Helm, but similar are useful.
  • Programming skills (mid-level) in languages such as Python, Go or Ruby. Aptitude to write clean, efficient, and maintainable code for automating tasks and building tooling.
  • Understanding the benefit of CI platforms (Buildkite, GitHub actions) and the usage of CD pipeline management tools (Argo CD, Spinnaker etc.).
  • Involved in teams meeting (daily, retrospective, roadmap, demo, technical presentation)
  • Ability and openness to learn, fail, reflect and apply learnings moving forward (individual level).
  • Faculty to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, collaborative, and high-growth environment.
  • Good oral and written communication skills in English.
