Project Manager

The Project Manager will assume full responsibility for entire industrial boiler house installs and various smaller projects starting with taking the initial enquiry, through to the completion. Projects will need to be completed within the required time scale and budget. The position is both office and site based; therefore, site visits throughout the UK would be expected. A home-based position can be considered for this role if a suitable candidate does not live locally to our premises.

Knowledge and experience within the industrial boiler industry is essential.

Daily duties will involve:

  • Take enquiry calls from customers and ascertain their requirements. If needed make a site visit to gain further understanding of the work required, take measurements, produce drawings etc
  • Provide detailed written quotes to customers with any technical specifications included
  • Source and order any valves or other items needed to complete the job
  • Liaise with customers and employees to arrange for works to be completed. Ensure that the job is managed from start to finish and sufficient labour is available to meet customer expectations
  • Participate in meetings both internally and with external site teams
  • Ensure that all work adheres to deadlines and meets quality standards
  • Complete all required paperwork or systems-based documentation accurately and in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all work complies with internal policies and procedures
  • Create and maintain good customer and employee relationships
  • In addition to daily duties, key tasks will include;

  • Ensure all activities are performed safely and accurately in accordance with all relevant legislation, policies and company guidelines
  • Performing high standards of work following ISO procedures
  • Assist in the development of other team members by sharing knowledge and expertise
  • We are looking for someone that has excellent communications skills and can use their own initiative to work without constant supervision. You will need to hold a full UK driving licence and have experience in a commercial and industrial background.

    Salary is negotiable based on experience, around £44,. The company pension scheme is currently paid at 5%.

    This is a permanent contract subject to completion of a satisfactory probation period of 6 months.

    Core hours are 7.30-16.00 Monday to Friday, but flexibility to suit customer needs is expected.
