The “Product Manager – Digital” will work as part of the global product management team in the Grid Edge Solutions business. The key role is to manage and develop a digital application portfolio. The digital applications provide an end-2-end data driven service for distributed energy systems and enhance customer value streams. Use cases range from data driven predictive & prescriptive maintenance offerings, digital twin concepts, all the way towards market facing & trading solutions. The GPS Digital Solutions needs to work across a complex product portfolio from battery storage towards power system automation, supporting sales, B&P – engineering – execution & commissioning.
Your responsibilities
Drive the development of strategies and business models for a service and digital portfolio in product management. This includes an analysis of the customer and internal values that the service and digital offerings provide
Develop market introduction and go-to-market concepts for new digital portfolio elements
Own product roadmap for Digital Solutions in GES
Support Sales and Business Development globally as technical expert
Provide competitive intelligence on service and digital offerings and related business
Interface with R&D to make sure the products will meet the market requirements.
Attend conferences and customer events to promote and discuss the Service and Digital offering
Support the B&P team in discussing and specifying functional and non-functional project requirements and the related engineering effort
Support the roll-out and the market introduction of the Digital portfolio releases to supply units and ensure smooth handover in customer projects
Work with cross-functional project teams (Power Electronics, Mechanics, Control and Automation, Sales, Engineering, Service)
Setup and manage partnerships with external R&D and production suppliers
Collect and clarify requirements and drive prioritization with multiple stakeholders
Support the R&D organization in continuously improving the processes and ways of working towards increasingly lean and agile methods
Embracing a "voice of customer" mentality and driving that thought processes throughout the engineering organization) - holistic data driven value creation perspective
Your background
University degree or tertiary education in a technical field with > 3 years of experience
Experience in software and digital solutions, power systems and/or plant automation, as well as knowledge in IoT infrastructure is a plus
Strong team player
Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities
Strong communication skills verbal and written with open and direct communication style
Must have the ability to manage multiple technical projects simultaneously and have the experience and ability to interface with customers, cross-functional teams, and all levels of personnel/management
This position requires the ability and willingness to travel
Fluent in local Language & English.
