Platform Engineer
Key duties
The platform engineer is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and monitoring the infrastructure supporting customer-facing applications. Platform engineering activities include server administration, supervision, and the automation of recurring tasks. The platform engineer must also be at ease with cloud technologies, both in their deployment and their architecture. Duties include:
- Implementing platform changes.
- Automating platform deployment and maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring continuous monitoring of the platform across various environments.
- Identifying and fixing reliability issues.
- Tracking and managing system stability, capacity.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for improvement in processes, design, and implementations.
- Maintaining security and quality standards within the infrastructure.
Qualifications
Engineering or master's degree in computer science.
Proven troubleshooting skills in complex systems.
Experience in platform management.
Demonstrated track record of executing task diligently and with the necessary rigor.
Required Technical skills
Proficient in full AWS suite (EC2, S3, ALB, Route53, Global Accelerator, ECS/Fargate, Lambda...) - equivalent to AWS Practitioner or DevOps certifications
Skills in Amazon CDK
Ansible
Python scripting
Linux system management
Preferred
Powershell scripting
Windows system management
