As a Network Engineer, you will join a growing international team to work on the deployment and maintenance of segregated IT User Zones, Sites and Application Availability Groups. Your role will be to support daily operations tasks and to support project workload including the design & implementation of new infrastructure or the migration of existing network components.

Where will you be based and what business will you support?

Based in Nantes, France; you will be part of the IT Infrastructure Support Team for Eurofins Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe.

How can you help us?

You will collaborate with several different IT Support and Delivery Teams, resorting to your networking and network security skills. Additionally, you will drive Eurofins’ major IT Infrastructure transition and transformation across the Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe businesses.

Some of your specific assignments will involve maintaining the current IT User Zones, Sites, and IT Application Availability Groups network infrastructure. You will design, plan, and implement network IT infrastructure for Transformation, Integration, and Segregation throughout the Food, Feed, and Agro Testing businesses across Europe. These projects will aim to perform installations, configurations, and migrations of enterprise-level network IT infrastructure systems from legacy to the new solutions. In this role, you will propose and deliver solutions that best meet the business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth, and work closely with Server, Cloud, and Application team members to deliver the IT Infrastructure as part of wider projects. You will also act based on an end-to-end view of the Infrastructure. The scope of your duties will include documenting the solutions delivered and helping to transition the service to regional teams in the final stage of the project, as well as driving on-site activities related to IT segregation and maintenance of the existing IT Network infrastructure.

Qualifications

Are you our kind of extraordinary?

You should possess a minimum of 5 years of robust experience in network infrastructure design and transitions, as well as experience in maintaining network components such as upgrades. Proficiency in Next Generation Firewalls, specifically Checkpoint and FortiGate, is essential for this role. Additionally, experience in data centre network operations and Cisco-based routing and switching at a CCNA level is required, including knowledge of protocols such as IP, SNMP, SMTP, OSPF, VLAN, ACLs, and Static routing.

Knowledge of Fortinet hardware and systems configuration is necessary, particularly in FortiManager, FortiGate NG Firewall, VPN, SDWAN, and FortiAnalyzer. Practical experience in VeloCloud SDWAN, switch stacking, complex network migrations, and Cisco wireless technologies is also required. Candidates with the ability to comprehend, generate, and interpret technical documentation related to delivered solutions are highly desirable.

A strong command of written and spoken English is indispensable, including the capability to articulate technical projects in meetings. Proficiency at the CCNP level, with a proven track record in LAN/WAN/SDWAN network infrastructure design and implementation during acquisitions, transitions, and enterprise-level delivery, along with familiarity with different protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, HTTP, and BGP, will be advantageous.

Additional assets include experience in network monitoring, familiarity with Azure or other cloud-based environments, basic knowledge of load balancing, VPN technologies, data centre networks, complex network migrations, and cloud networking.
