By working with industry stakeholders, Bureau Veritas Marine & Offshore promotes the adoption of more sustainable technologies and aims to reduce the environmental impact of the maritime industry as a whole.

Our French Plan Office (FPO) located in Saint Herblain is responsible for verifying the compliance of ship plans according to current regulations.

As a team member, your role will involve:

  • Reviewing structural, stability, and freeboard plans for all types of seagoing and inland navigation vessels under construction in France and abroad, serving as the direct contact for Design Offices and Shipyards,
  • Conducting technical studies and providing assistance to the Bureau Veritas network for ships in service,
  • Contributing to the development and validation of Bureau Veritas regulations and supporting the operation of the local plan approval offices network (support, training).

    You will contribute to large-scale projects aimed at decarbonizing maritime transport, such as ships with a hybrid propulsion (hydrogen, methanol, .

    With a higher education degree in naval architecture (engineering school / university), you have at least 5 years of experience in the naval field that have allowed you to become familiar with standards and regulations.

    You are proficient in IT tools (RDM) and demonstrate good writing and communication skills.

    Your adaptability, rigor, and appetite for new technologies will be assets to succeed in this role.

    Your proficiency in English enables you to communicate with our network and clients both orally and in writing.
