YOUR FUTURE ENVIRONMENT
Eiffage, through its subsidiary Eiffage Génie Civil, has won the design-build contract awarded by Statens Vegvesen, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport, to build the new section of the E18-E39 urban motorway between Gartnerløkka and Kolsdalen in Kristiansand, Norway, at a cost of over €234 million.
The aim of the contract is to increase the capacity of the main interchange providing access to the city centre and port activities of the country's 6th largest city. It involves the construction of a 1.4 km 2x2 lane motorway in a dense urban area, including the construction of 12 structures, the reconstruction of 1.5 km of track, as well as the redevelopment of the existing ferry terminal and the installation of electrical and traffic engineering equipment.
This new contract won by Eiffage Génie Civil strengthens the Group's position in Norway, where it is currently carrying out design-build work on lots 1, 2 and 3 of the E18 motorway (section between Langangen and Rugtvedt) on behalf of Nye Veier, a company owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Transport.
YOUR MAIN TASKS
The M&E Site Engineer is responsible for leading works of M&E with selected subcontractors and ensure all documentation is gathered comply with contract requirements and suitable for final handover.
Reporting to the Roadworks & M&E Manager:
Liaise with Design team for accurate description of works and materials to be used
Prepare documents for tender and negotiation with subcontractors
Check quantities and detail works description / interfaces
Analyse and solve interfaces with other works
Manage and coordinate work of subcontractors
Update the works program, report promptly any problem which may lead to delays against works program and look for solutions in case of conflict with other works
Control subcontractor works’ progress, situations and invoices
Check and provide all information for reporting and cost control
Seek approval for additional works, providing technical description, delay and cost
Identify and follow all procurement issues related to works
Inform about missing Human Resources when required
Ensure the implementation of health and safety regulations and site rules in connection with safety officer
Ensure all necessary documents and records from E&M works are issued
Receive and check all necessary documents and records form the civil works department s
Comply with company policies and procedures
Organize testing & commissioning phases with subcontractors, client and third parties
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Engineering discipline degree
At-least 8 years’ experience of large civil engineering projects
