Solaris Biotechnology, a Donaldson brand under Life Science designs and manufactures Bioprocessing equipment, including Bioreactors, Fermenters, and Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) systems for R&D and production purposes.
We engage in providing high-tech bioprocess solutions, our products are used in Universities and Research Centers, as well as in Biotech, Pharma, Food and Beverage, Nutraceutical, Cosmeceutical, Chemical, Agricultural industries, and, not to mention bioplastics and biofuels applications.
We are currently looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer. This position can be remotely based inBelgium, Germany, Netherlands, France or Italy, as long as you are living within +- 1 hour of an airport.
Job Purpose:
As our next Field Service Engineer , you will join the Bio Systems Application Engineering Team and become part our Life Sciences business by supporting the Solaris Biotech Customers. You will play a key role in building an maintaining the relationship and collaboration with our Customers.
Key Responsibilities:
You will coordinate with EMEA customers the site and utilities readiness to carry out the installation and commissioning of bioprocessing units.
You will be responsible for dealing and prioritizing Customers' complaints.
Responsibility will also cover product troubleshooting, Customer complaints/maintenance & tracking service calls' history.
You will be responsible for costing and quoting maintenance contracts/offers to customers with assistance from the management team.
You will oversee in-house testing of equipment and support the Projects Team for electrical and site inputs.
You will guide, instruct and teach customers on equipment operation, care, and maintenance
You will represent Solaris for all that is Field Service and Technical matters enabling you to instill and maintain high standards of installation service towards the objective of complete Customer satisfaction.
Basic Profile:
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in a mechanical engineering / Lifesciences / Bioengineering field.
3+ years of field service and maintenance experience
Field service and installation Experience.
Fluent English and Italian is a MUST
Testing, supervision, installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting experience.
Having a good understanding of mechanical components (bearings, valves, pumps, filters)
Have a good understanding of wiring diagrams / electrical drawings / P&I diagrams.
Good knowledge of Electrical Panels and instrumentation
Experience working in lifescience, food and beverage, biotechnology or Pharmaceutical environments.

Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks.
Influence customer's on-site requirements.
Have clear communication.
Diplomatic approach in solving field issues.
Be ready to travel both in Italy and Europe. (35% of the time)
