Faurecia is a Developer & Supplier for vehicle Seats, Instrument Panels, Interior Trims, and Electronic devices for vehicle’s cockpits and Advanced Driving Assistance Systems, as well for Clean solutions for exhaust systems and electrical mobility to all automotive Original Equipment Manufacturers.
Our Group Intellectual Property organization is looking for a Patent Engineer (M/F) to reinforce the IP staff of the R&D Center of Brières (91, 55Km South of Paris). He/she would be dedicated to Seating activities being located closely to the Innovation and R&D teams. However, some inventions from Interiors Business Group . The technologies addressed relate mainly to mechanical engineering as well to electronics and softwares. The IP team comprises about 45 people localized in France, Germany, United-States, India, China and Japan including Patent Attorneys qualified before many Patent Offices. The IP site of Brières comprises two senior patent engineers (EQE qualified), two patent analysts and a paralegal.
As a Patent Engineer she/he must have knowledge in Patent Laws combined with an engineer degree . She/he has to help inventors to define their inventions, to assess the patentability of the Invention Disclosure Forms (IDF), to prepare patent first filing and extension decisions with the inputs from the experts and marketing specialists through the world. The Patent Engineer has also to establish the cooperation with external patent attorneys and to check the quality of their work. She/he will be involved in patent infringement analysis, as well in opposition and nullity proceeding in Europe.
