Missions

The Procurement line with the implementation of the TOM (Target Operating Model) is becoming a Strategic Enabler that supports the GBUs operational excellence by developing an agile, competitive and sustainable Supply Chain with focus on People, digitalization and streamlined organization.

The Customer Manager role is key to achieve this ambition and is reinforced/helped by Global Lead Buyers.

Your worldwide perimeter of expertise covers IT & Digital Services. It will be assigned depending on your experience and upcoming topics.

As Global Lead Buyer, your main challenges will be :

  • Promote governance & use of Group panels (optimize preferred suppliers' panels)
  • Perform Market Intelligence to identify best partners and implement best of class policies
  • Lead internal/external stakeholders networks in an international context
  • Position Procurement as a business partner to stakeholders, generating value for IT and Engie business in general
  • Challenge the stakeholder needs
  • Adopt and push a TCO approach
  • The Global Lead Buyer will:

  • Have a global mandate to manage a business/market segment to ensure an optimal economic, operational and CSR performance
  • Is managed by a Category Manager
  • Animate a network of CLBs/Operational Buyers, if any, related to his/her business market
  •  Under Category Manager supervision, establish and deploy a transversal procurement strategy for dedicated business/market segment on global geography perimeter and associated policies through involvement in a category team,
  • Ensure the integration of requirements for his/her scope, within the category team and suppliers
  • Lead the application of signed framework contracts and category policies for his/her scope and strengthen subsequent performance (savings, cost reductions, supplier performance, sustainability).
  • Detailed responsibilities

    Under the supervision of the Category Manager, contribute to the definition of the category procurement strategy and design the dedicated business/market segment procurement strategy

  • Participate in the category team overseen by the Category Manager
  • For the Market/business segments in her/his scope: Perform Market Intelligence for dedicated Market/business segment. Monitor technological, regulatory, competitive and economic developments that might impact the scope (Innovation, etc.) Lead strategic tenders Lead detailed analysis (of needs, specifications, regulatory requirements, supplier markets, risks, use cases, etc.), establishment and implementation of a category strategy, including a 3 year performance plan Define category profile for a dedicated Market/business segment (demand & supply profile, SWOT, key stakeholders list, cost model) or/and Define it
  • Under the supervision of the Category Manager, implement the business/market segment procurement strategy

  • Identify a network of internal contributors, to implement the relevant business/market segment procurement strategy at global level
  • Devise an implementation plan and manage the roll-out actions set out in the strategy
  •  Coordinate with the Business Teams and Functional Teams the relevant actions to secure implementation plan

    Manage supplier relations

  • On her/ his business / market segment, lead Group negotiation with the preferred suppliers
  • Evaluate supplier performance mainly based on quality, cost, time, CSR and provide feedback
  • Establish associated progress plans (Business reviews)
  • Lead the application of the relevant category procurement policy and signed framework agreements

  •  Identify and animate the internal network of requestors and specifiers, in order to ensure the application of the Procurement policy and associated framework contracts, in coordination with CLBs/Operational buyer network
  • Ensure IS tools as defined in the Procurement core model are updated (in particular information relating to framework contracts, and e-Catalogs)
  • Ensure achievement of performance targets

  •  Monitor the reporting of savings and performance gains and consolidate results on required frequency, including sustainability performance (CO2 emissions)
  • Benchmark category performance against external data and best practices
  • Main core competencies

  • You have a very good understanding of the IT services vendors market and you are aware of latest trends in the IT services market
  • You are an IT services expert buyer and know how to identify all the performance levers and how to make proposals to implement relevant and innovative strategies.
  • You have at least 5 years of professional experience and a good expertise in multi-cultural environment
  • You have international experience in defining and implementing global category procurement strategies
  • You have experience in strategic sourcing and contract negotiation
  • You are recognized for your leadership and ability to federate and create synergies
  • You have leadership skills to motivate work teams, driving results and recognizing successes
  • You develop a culture of performance, you know how to propose levers to improve performance and create value
  • You are able to quickly identify the needs of your stakeholders thanks to your analytical, synthesis and critical capabilities
  • You are recognized for your project management skills (rigor, structuring/prioritization, planning)
  • Autonomous, curious, organized, you excel in negotiation
  • Good communicator, you have very good interpersonal skills with people of different levels and cultures
  • Good knowledge of ENGIE organization and activities
  • You are fluent English - any other language is a plus
  • Good knowledge of office package (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Good knowledge of Ariba
  • Moderated travel
