We are offering a Fast-Track Graduate Program for Field Service Engineers in Europe, starting in September 2024.
The program is aimed at ambitious new graduates looking for an exciting career in the semiconductor industry. In this role, you will have the potential to accelerate your career and acquire an insight into different areas, whilst building a valuable international network.
Upon completion of your training, you will be located in either Grenoble (France), Agrate (Italy), Dresden (Germany) or Kildare (Ireland) which are vibrant hubs for the semiconductor industry in Europe.
An Applied Materials Field Service Engineer stands for:
Field Service Engineers (FSE) are representing Applied Materials at customer locations. They are in charge of the accuracy and quality of service solutions needed. In addition, a FSE combines in-depth technical expertise with excellent customer support to implement best service practices such as:
On-site installation and support of advanced electro-mechanical and electronic wafer fabrication production equipment
Performing preventive and corrective maintenance independently or as part of a team
Systematic troubleshooting and fault elimination of the systems
FSEs work across technologies such as: Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal, Implant, Metrology, and Inspection.
Our Trainee Program includes:
Theoretical and practical knowledge transfer, as well as international placements at our newest production sites in Asia and Europe.
Training on-the-job and guided tasks to gain experience. Supported by a local buddy, team colleagues, and managers.
Long-term work opportunities at our European sites with potential development opportunities in various specialisms.
We are looking for you:
You are graduating with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, information systems or related field OR you have graduated recently.
An advanced level of English (headquarter is in the US) together with a proficient level of either French, German or Italian.
You are an EU Citizen or have the right to live and work in France/Italy/Ireland/Germany.
Your mindset is important:
Teamplayer with strong interpersonal skills and a building trust nature.
Exercise judgement based on data analysis of multiple sources of information like plant documentations, schematics, and hardware data.
Find solutions with different tools to get the machine running again.
Explain difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus
