Expenses analyst (P&C) Apprentice
P&C Expenses team is responsible for calculations and analysis of Expenses figures for P&C. In relation with
closing activities, or ad hoc requests, the team is also the main contact of several internal stakeholders to
provide studies and analysis on P&C Expenses. The Expenses analyst Apprentice will support these different
tasks, with a strong focus on expenses allocations analysis.
1) Participate to the review and analysis of expenses allocation to business
The objective is to reinforce the allocation model of expenses by line of business, for financial reporting
purpose (IFRS17), and other analytical needs.
This activity involves recurring discussions with the local entities’ stakeholders (Finance and other teams),
assessing the impacts of the changes proposed on P&C figures, and presenting them.
2) Run expenses allocations in the dedicated tool
On a regular basis (quarterly closing activity (IFRS17) + ad hoc), run the expenses allocations within the tool
by preparing the input data, performing the relevant controls, and provide first reviews of the output through
consistency analysis.
3) Support preparing the documentation for reviews and presentations
This role will lead the intern to work in close relation with stakeholders from other Group Finance teams, and
with SCOR’s local entities Finance teams.
Experience and skills
- A previous 6 months internship in a Finance department will be appreciated
- Excellent at confronting and analyzing data
- Proactive and autonomous in contacts within the team and with other teams
- Open to share about your work progress and ask questions to move forward
- Good communication skills (both oral and written)
Education
Master’s degree (Business School or University “stage de fin d’études”, Master’s degree working student)
Language
This role involves verbal and written discussions with people across the globe in English.
Excellent knowledge in French is required, as both English and French are common daily work languages.
Systems and tools
Strong knowledge of Excel functionalities are required
In addition to being available as an apprenticeship, this role is also open for an internship.
