The Project Operations Business Division is in charge of producing process design packages, proprietary and automation equipment, modular units and process furnaces, from design to start-up, for refineries, petrochemical and industrial sites of our customers, on the group's traditional technologies as well as on technologies linked to the energy transition. Its objective is to ensure quality projects, respecting costs and schedules and preserving the safety of all.
Missions:
As part of the development of its Proprietary Equipment activity, the Project Operations Business Division needs to strengthen its teams and is looking for Equipment Industrialization Engineer.
Your challenges will be: your project role will be: implement and execute project in order to qualify various type of equipment (valves, pumps, process packages, pressure vessels, and reactors internals) and their manufacturers, ensure the coordination of tasks for each subject following their progress. Your technical role as part of our team in which the sharing of multidisciplinary technical knowledge (mechanical, instrumentation & control, process, engineering) and experience acquired in previous positions plays an important added value.
The first step of a project consists in gathering the needs, validating the commercial interest and the technical potential of the equipment. A second step is to ensure the feasibility of design and select dedicated suppliers able to manufacture the equipment according the needs and rules of Axens. Once completing these steps the equipment can then be offered for sale to our customers.
Your main tasks will be as follows:
• Development of new proprietary equipment, particularly on Axens’ new low carbon licences.
• Plan and manage the steps of the development.
• Assess equipment needs and requirements, taking into account multidisciplinary technical aspects.
• Select and establish relationships with suppliers in collaboration with purchases: drafting of specifications, search for suppliers.
• Establish offers relating to new equipment or diagrams of new packages, intended to be added to the panel of proprietary equipment
• Set up design documents, specifications and tools for the future realization of the equipment
• Ensure regulatory compliance of proprietary equipment.
• Industrialize and improve proprietary equipment using a continuous improvement approach.
Knowledge and Required Level:
• You are a confirmed engineer, with at least 10 years’ experience, multidisciplinary technical skills, in one or several of the following disciplines: Process Skid Packages, Mechanical, Rotating Equipment, Static Equipment, Instrumentation, and Process.
• You have participated in the production of equipment or packages within engineering or at a manufacturer, you have worked in the operation or participated in the design of refining / petrochemical, gas, energy units, other industries would be valuable.
• Experience in process start-up will be highly appreciated.
• Knowledge of regulatory constraints is necessary, engineering standards, safety standards and regulations and equipment compliance.
• A good level in English and French, both written and spoken, is essential.
