Engineer R&D - Testing Center (SL)

RESPONSIBILITIES

AND MAIN TASKS

Manage Maintenance of the test benches and of the building

  • Plan and apply preventive maintenance on test benches, mechanical systems, pressurised vessels and hydraulic power units
  • Plan and apply preventive maintenance for the R&D LAB building (electrical network - instrumented air - nitrogen gas and liquid network - air conditioning - ventilation - fire extinguishers - fire detection - alarms system - water - IT - lifting and handling devices like crane or forklift).
  • Organize curative maintenance when needed : able here to make diagnostic and fix the problem
  • Liaise with the suppliers and the subcontractors for the maintenance to be subcontracted (preparation of the contracts - follow up)
  • Liaise with the subcontractors for the mandatory legal inspections

    • Deploy SBM HSSE policies and French legal HSSE requirements inside the LAB 

  • Develop and maintain all relevant/mandatory documentation (document unique, etc.)
  • Edit Plan de Prevention for the subcontractors having to work inside R&D LAB premises
  • Manage Permit To Work system
  • For specific tests or activities, run Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification if needed
  • Prepare Factory Acceptance Test of systems to be delivered or benches manufactured at the LAB
  • Capture incident, Define and Implement corrective action plan
  • Promote HSSE culture

    • Manage Quality inside the LAB and edit Quality Management System 

  • Edit the LAB quality policy (describe the process from the test specification to the test report - describe the process linked to the execution of a test)
  • Plan and apply the calibration of sensors, instruments and Data Acquisition systems used on test benches
  • Define the quality management system for tests sold to external clients
  • Organize transport and control conformity of incoming goods
  • To liaise with Q&A department for ISO certification if needed

    • JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering degree or equivalent with at least 5 years' experience in Industry sector
  • Good knowledge of risks analysis processes
  • Knowledge of the hydraulic/mechanical/instrumentation/electrical 
  • Good Communicator/Organisational skills Polyvalence
  • Attributes such as being methodical, careful, safe.
  • Good Level of English spokent/written
