Vos missions
Position Overview: As an Electronic Hardware Engineer, you will be an integral part of our R&D team, contributing your expertise to the design, development, and optimization of our innovative active implant technology. You will be leading the development of critical components on the implanted system and collaborate closely with the cross-functional team (R&D, Quality, Regulatory). This is a unique opportunity to join a fast-paced start-up environment and make a meaningful impact on the future of healthcare. This is a full-time opportunity and requires willingness to relocate to Paris, France.
Location: Paris (13th) , France
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the electronic research and development of critical sub-systems on an active implant system, from prototype development to design for manufacturing
- Conduct feasibility studies, literature reviews and technology assessments to inform the design and development process
- Collaborate with software and mechanical engineers to integrate components and systems, optimizing functionality and performance
- Provide support to the software engineers by bringing electronic knowledge to implement algorithms which have to drive the hardware resource in the device
- Define the hardware architecture of the device
- Define the design specifications
- Select vendors and external collaboration partners
- Define test strategies and execute testing to evaluate the performance, reliability, and safety of implant prototypesSet up of internal prototyping facilities
Vos compétences
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in technical education, or equivalent, with a focus on electronics engineering, control and automation or an equivalent field; Master’s degree preferred
- Familiarity with standard project management tools and design controls for medical devices or a similarly regulated industry
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in research and development, preferably within the Class III implantable technology industry (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA QSR) is a plus
- Experience with motor driving circuitry and digital control systems
- Experience with electronics components selection and sourcing for high reliability applications
- Experience with Electronics CAD (Altium or similar), creation of Printed Circuit Boards Experience with test method development, testing, instrumentation, measurements, and validation of test methods
- Knowledge in Embedded Software (Firmware)
- Proven track record to manage outside vendors and development partners
- Strong understanding of medical device design principles, materials science, and manufacturing processes
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
- Fluency in English; French language proficiency is a plus
