Business Development Project Manager

Job Summary

Lead projects involving internal resources and external stakeholders for developing new business for PARP including, but not limited to : M&A, key partnerships, capex, disruptive or complex innovation projects, new business models

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities of new business in the various PARP subsegments (M&A, key partnerships, disruptive or complex innovation projects, new business models)

  • Define the right products, market approach, operational set-up, team and external partners for implementing those opportunities

  • Break down these into tangible objectives and associated sets of actions

  • Lead informal teams and facilitate the team work for executing these actions and reaching the objectives

  • Delivery on the projects financials (revenue, margin, costs) and timeline

  • Act as a primary contact and responsible to manage the contacts with external partners

  • Prepare and lead regular reviews, including presentations

  • Collaborate with other Imerys functions and segments to ensure potential synergies

  • Accountability

  • Ensuring the new business growth aligned with PARP budget and strategic plan 

  • Lead the projects which she/he is in charge of to successful completion

  • Key competencies

  • Ability to manage complex projects leading transversal teams 

  • Good understanding of P&L data and financial modeling as key tools to understand the new business profitability

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with minimum supervision and deliver results in due time, working on the right priorities

  • Business minded and seeking Imerys benefit

  • Strong project and informal team management skills in order to mobilize the team around the objective

  • Good presentation and communication skills that can adapt across multiple levels of partners’ organization

  • Ability to build both internal and external relationship

  • Ability to adapt the approach to circumstances (from diplomatic to unflexible)

  • Good technical skills to understand how our products are made and add value to the customer.

  • Ability to adapt to/ apply Imerys values and new ways of working

  • Ideal background/experience

  • Master degree in Science, Engineering

  • Masters or MBA Preferred

  • Strong experience of project management

  • > 8 years experience in marketing, sales or business development

  • Knowledge of the markets of the markets of Plastics, ACS & Rubber, Paints & Coatings along with their specific technologies and players

  • Typical profile

  • Senior Marketing Manager, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Strategy manager

  • Position location: anywhere in the EMEA region
