Azure Application Developer (C# / .NET)

Job Purpose

Creates Azure cloud-based solutions such as applications, APIs and services, involved in all stages of development, from solution design to development, deployment, testing, and maintenance. To succeed, must collaborate with the cloud lead developer, cloud solution architects, cloud administrators, front-end developers, embedded engineers, and DevOps engineers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop existing and new C# cloud applications (APIs, functions and applications)
  • Involved in APIs definition and implementation
  • Utilize Azure platform technologies (Azure Function, databases, APIs, etc.).
  • Design, build, and modify reusable components.
  • If necessary, create prototypes to validate proposed ideas and solicit stakeholder input.
  • Excellent understanding and expertise in test-driven development and continuous integration processes (DevOps).
  • Analysis and design – able to generate applications matching high-level specifications.
  • Collaborate with the team to define/clarify business requirements, estimate development costs, and finalize development plans.
  • Create and execute unit and integration tests on code created throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Proactively code reference applications to avoid performance and scalability issues.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance and testing team on issue reporting, change management.
  • Support and troubleshooting - Assist operations in resolving issues arising from application deployment in development, QA, staging, and production environments.
  • Assist other teams in resolving issues that may arise from integrating multiple components.
  • Understand design concepts and architectural foundations (Design Patterns).
  • Performance engineering knowledge.
  • Understand quality processes and estimation methods.
  • Ability to transform functional and non-functional requirements into system requirements.
  • Ability to create test cases and scenarios based on specifications.
  • Solid knowledge of SDLC and Agile techniques.
  • Ability to break down complex problems into smaller ones to facilitate resolution.
  • Qualifications

  • Degree and/or Experience Level: Computer Engineer with experience at a software vendor or service company (2 to 3 years).

  • Knowledge and practice of C# and .NET Framework

  • Terraform

  • Energy, integrity, and strong work ethic

  • Technologies: Azure Function, databases, object-oriented programming, Azure.

  • Tools: Git/GitFlow, Visual Studio/Visual Code, Azure DevOps (desired).

  • Comfortable presenting work both in writing and orally.

  • Proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

  • Methodology: Agile, TDD.

  • Microsoft Office suite proficiency.

  • Located in France or Italy.

  • Desirable but not required knowledge:

  • Python

  • Docker

  • Kubernetes

  • Gherkins

  • xUnit
