Key accountabilities

Oversee purchasing, receiving, and storeroom operations in conjunction with hourly staff with regard to Food, Beverage, and General Storeroom items.

Assist staff with deliveries, requisitions, and orders.

Manage order guides for assigned product categories.

Maintain month end inventories for beverage and general storeroom within the Birchstreet system.

Ensure invoice processing and receiving postings are completed in a timely manner in conjunction with receiving.

Work closely with kitchen staff to improve the food ordering cycle.

Work with Laundry and Housekeeping management and staff to create and implement a linen tracking procedure to monitor loss

General requirements

A minimum of 3 years of experience in Purchasing management position, preferably in a hotel

Ability to work with people from a wide variety of backgrounds and positions, service orientation towards both internal and external customers.

Outgoing, flexible, detail oriented and strong organizational skills. Good communicator

Approachable, organized, ability to handle pressure, works well with diverse personalities
