Within an increasingly, challenging and competitive business ever-changing client patterns, the Area Director Travel Retail & Local Markets will be tasked with reinforcing CHANEL Brand equity in an omni-channel environment while ensuring a sustainable and profitable growth.

BUSINESS CONTEXT

Travel Retail EMEA and Export Local Markets operations are currently covering different type of business models : Travel Retail Operations Markets with Distributors, with a high complexity considering the very various level of business maturity, the large geographical perimeter and the strong cultural diversity. The exact scope of operations might evolve, considering the dynamic industry landscape.

CURRENT / FUTURE STAKES

Travel retail and Export Local Markets are focusing on transformations and strategic challenges similar to other European markets:

  • Strengthen the leadership as a luxury brand while delivering strong business performance including the securing of a high profitability
  • Test and roll out new distribution models such as own retail with partners, integrating omni-channel approach (especially in Travel Retail)
  • Cultivate long-term partnerships with business partners (Operators, Distributors and Retailers)
  • Ensure continuous efficiency of the organization by developing the team and its talents

  • As member of the department leadership team, contribute actively to the department governance, the definition of its business strategy and search for reinforced collective efficiency.
  • Drive on and off line operations within your markets to achieve business objectives and constantly improve Brand Equity
  • Ensure consistent financial planning and P&L accuracy
  • Develop and adapt people and organization capabilities. Attract, develop and retain talents to meet current and future needs of the business and organization.
  • Create conditions for People engagement.
  • Represent the brand externally with appropriate seniority and intimate knowledge of luxury
