The role & the teams

To meet our challenges, we are looking for our next Area Business & Technical Developer (M/F) to cover France & Benelux markets within our European team! This position will be located in Lestrem (near Lille).

The Customer Technical Service (CTS) teams develop, formulate, and evaluate our customer’s finished products in their labs.

Based on scientific approach, CTS is partnering with our customers to speed up their development, by understanding their application in the market and their needs.

Internally, the CTS teams develop strong relationship with our Global R&D and our commercial and marketing forces to better serve our customers.

Your mission?

Reporting to the Head of Food Technical Development - Europe, your focus will be to lead the technical challenges as the primary contact for our customers and prospects aligned with sales, and to support their product development projects in line with the Group's strategy.

You will be as well a voice of the customer internally.

In connection with our sales, application, and R&D teams, your experience and talents will make the difference to:

Supporting the technical projects of our customers (and prospects) in all our market segments (specialized nutrition, baking, savory/meat analog, dairy, confectionery, etc.)

Aligned with sales: coordinate internal resources (CTS, R&D, Marketing etc.) to carry out development projects for our customers (innovation, range extensions, etc.)

Contribute to the creation of value, bringing the voice of the customer internally, and coordinate application studies with our CTS teams to demonstrate and evaluate the functional value of our solutions.

Participate in meetings with the Sales team to understand our customers' needs.

Create and conduct training sessions with customers, application centers and universities.

Develop relationships with application centers and universities.

Master in Food Science

5+ years of relevant experience in an industrial food processing environment

Good knowledge of food markets, food technologies and industrial processes

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Strong collaboration skills: ability to work effectively in a transversal team environment including external stakeholders

Proven ability to develop long term strategic relationships with customers

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Frequent business travels (around 30%)

Sales/marketing experience combined with technical skills in the food industry (formulation, product development, customer support, etc.) would be a plus

And because we are an international company and you will work with different countries you are fully fluent in English (on top of French)
